MANAGED FILE SERVER - KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE By utilising an ETL file server in your business you'll be able to ensure all your data is kept safe and in one place for efficiency.     Usually in an environment without a server, your computer users will keep their files on their individual machines - probably keeping information in the 'My Documents' folder or on the desktop. As well as putting this information at the mercy of the computer they are stored on (e.g. hard disk failures are not uncommon), there is also the issue of other staff needing access to a given file and the annoyance of having to locate where the file is stored and who had it last etc. After installation of a server, each of your computers will be configured to have a drive S: (for server) in the 'My Computer' section. Users will then be encouraged to store all their information here as opposed to saving it on their own machine. There are many benefits to having a server: Files are all kept-safely in one place on a server with high-quality hardware and lots of disk space.   Privileged areas can be set-up for higher-level access only (e.g. HR / wages / financial files).   Remote access for external users as standard - basic file retrieval available from any connection but upgraded advanced service available when you use ETL Business Class Broadband at each site.   Windows and Mac OS compatible.   Manual backups are a lot easier when your data is all in one place - just plug in an external hard disk to any workstation and 'drag and drop'.   Optional Automatic Backup Service allows for complete peace of mind backup without you ever having to worry about it.   Optional RAID upgrade ensures all your data is automatically stored on two hard discs rather than one (meaning the failure of one drive will not cause your data to be lost).
